Founded
in 1989 by Lori Gershaw, Professional Meeting Planners
(PMP) was formed as an independent meeting and conference
planning company. Gershaw
Conference Group, Inc.(GCG), the parent company
of Professional Meeting Planners was established in 1998. GCG
is a privately held, woman-owned
corporation located in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Lori Gershaw,
President and Allan Stark, Vice President, are both actively
involved in the day-to-day management and operations of both of GCG's
enterprises, Professional Meeting Planners and GCG Event
Partners.
PMP has
managed meetings that range in complexity from board meetings consisting of a few
key people to conferences that boast over 1,000 attendees. We
have planned annual meetings, academic conferences, medical meetings which include both the Pharmaceutical and CME industries, physician dinner meetings, special events, and many other types of meetings. Our
clients have included corporations, associations, and nonprofit
organizations.
We have
planned and marketed entire large scale conferences and
offered specific services as part of a multi-company team. Our
goal is to have satisfied clients who continue
to return to us for their meeting and conference planning needs.
In 2003, GCG
Event Partners was created to match professional
meeting planners and on-site managers with clients who need
short-term meeting planning assistance or on-site management support. GCG Event Partners is able to partner these two entitites
to provide a mutually beneficial meeting planning relationship.
